For the first time ever, players begin with the last three members of the Stars of Destiny and are tasked with resurrecting the other 104 in order to restore order in the universe and defeat the almighty One King. With its grand adventure and larger than life scale, the story is told through rich animation sequences and gripping dialogue with voice over, which will pull the player even deeper into the world of Suikoden: Tierkreis. Much of the game is voice acted, which actually works to its detriment. As you get further into the game, you get the option of what magic or techniques to equip. While advancing through the game, the player must interact with non-player characters to move the story forward and allow new scenarios to become available for play, as well as to discover new items and areas. I've had to work harder in pokemon games to win battles than in this one for the most part. There is a variety of characters. Everyone likes to say that Suikoden games are easy in battle — this is true for the most part, but especially true with Suikoden Tierkreis.
Like the mainline series, there is an extra scene in the ending if you found all 108 characters. Definitely rent this one first. With the exception of Dirk and Liu, webpage a rush of memories return to the party, and they set out to the City of Cynas, unaware of what events are going to unfold.
